Celebrations 24.2.2017



Lots of applause and smiles this week in our celebrations assembly and lots to celebrate!


Tessa, Kara and Henry (Y2) for been a star speller in term 3! 
Lyric for settling in so well - it seems like he has been with us forever!  Jack Y1 for being a star speller in term 3!  Fabulous work everyone!

Celebration 10.2.17


Great end of term celebrations assembly!



Class 2 interpretation of 'Little Brown Jug'.  I was invited to watch this in their music lesson this morning and it was so good I asked them to perform in assembly.  The whole school was jiggling along with the tune - fabulous and very well done Class 3!


Novice (front row - Olivia, Tessa, Kara, Joshua and Ewan) and Intermediate (back row - Isabelle, Carise, Brooke, Lexi and Sasha) gymnasts who took part in the festival this week.  Although we didn't win, we tried our very best and represented the school excellently!  Thanks to Mrs James for training the children and taking a day off work to support them - we are so grateful to you!


Kayley Y6 for excellent Anglo-Saxon diary writing and Jake Y5 for his no fuss attitude to his learning.


Dean Y4 for excellent alliterative poetry writing, Harry Y4 and Orla Y3 for great progress in their phonics learning and Elsie Y4 for her excellent Haiku.  Well done Guys!!!


Henry Y2 and Alexia Y1 for having impeccable manners.

Celebration 3.2.17



Such a busy week this week and last with lots going on!


Our Sportshall Athletics Team - we came 3rd in Grantham (and not very far behind 1st and 2nd)!  So very proud of your effort and behaviour - you are a credit to the school!


Eliza Y2, Olivia Y2, Henry Y2, Megan Y2, Ryan Y1 and Ewan Y1 - all for excellent writing in RE on 'Christenings' following their visit to church  and taking part in a Christening with Reverend Lilian.  Special mention to Olivia - what beautiful handwriting - best I've ever seen for a Y2!


Millie-June Y3 for great recorder playing, Carise Y3 for an excellent underwater diorama and fabulous diary writing in Big Write, Holly Y4 for her underwater  diorama (I have borrowed this for my office!) and Elsie Y4 for great diary writing in Big Write.


Class 3 have been working on group interpretations of  'Little Brown Jug' and two groups performed for us in assembly today.  3 more groups next week.
Katelyn, Ben, Hannah, George and Rueben - brilliant interpretation which was very Hawaiian!


Tillie, Rory (seated), Arthur, Tilly and Kayley - their interpretation was very Celtic.

Both made me want to dance!  Looking forward to the 3 groups next week!

Celebrations 20.1.17



Busy, busy this week!



Our goalball team!  They represented the school brilliantly and although we didn't
win we tried our very best!  Thanks guys!


Sophie Y5 - for being voted by (her group) as being the most improved swimmer and also for taking more interest in classwork and participating much better. 
WOW Sophie - please keep this up!


Josef Y4, William Y4 - much improved work in maths, Daniel Y4 & Brooke Y3 - for letting themselves go and enjoying our music mime work listening to 'Carnival of the Animals' and Millie-June Y3  - much improved work in maths


Tom Y1, Melina YR, Ryan Y1, Jacob YR, Joshua Y1.  Melina and Jacob for outstanding guided reading work.  Tom, Ryan and Joshua for working hard and
wanting to learn - keep it up!


Our Badminton team - once again an excellent representation of the school!
