Harvest Festival

We had a very special harvest festival on Friday morning.  Special because the children were so involved and so part of it.  Very little teacher direction at all.

Presentation of Harvest Gifts - so much to give!

Revd Lilian and Church warden Caroline posing in front of the gifts!
For a very small school we excelled in our giving - Thank you parents!

Class 1 - Cauliflowers are fluffy and cabbages green.  Brilliant to see everyone involved and singing and the headdresses were so imaginative!

Class 2 - A story to make you think Stone Soup.  It was all about sharing.

The tree was Zack - see him peering around it!
Thanks Mrs Bawden for your brilliant artwork, it really helped out story/drama.

Joy at singing our class 2 song

More Stone Soup!

Class told the creation story through drama...

... they also wrote their own 'Colour Harvest'

Narrators - being serious and looking at their scripts.

We had a church full of parents and grand-parents and the produce donated was amazing.

Thank you everyone!

Creation Station Art Club

This was our first session of the new art club and it was very successful!  The theme this term is science - linked to gravity fields and the children produced a planets scene using crazy foam and a marbling technique.

Don't get to do this in class!

Enjoyment and concentration

Celebrations 16.9. and 23.9.16

Great assembly today based on friendship and team work.

Josh and Alice demonstrating broken friendship and teamwork by breaking a paper chain of every member of class 3.

Some of class 2 - various reasons: settling in well, excellent creative writing, excellent start to the new challenges,  Keep it up everyone!

Some of class 3 - various reasons again: being great Class 1 buddies, making a good start to class 3, coming back cheerful and determined!

Some of Y2 - all for coming back to school eager to learn and participating more in class.  Great news guys!
