Christmas dinner

Coincided with Christmas Jumper Day.

All staff ate with the children - we forgot the crackers!  Note for next year!

Annabelle Y1 - really happy!

Poppy Y2 - great pose!

Freddie and Rupert - typical reception boys!

The boys Josef Y5, Zack Y5, Harry Y5 and George Y6 volunteered to serve seconds (and thirds!) whilst the staff ate their lunch.

Everyone helped to clear away, wash up. sweep floors and it was all done in no time!
We are so lucky to have such eager and helpful children!
Thank you parents!

Remembrance Service 2017

We held a very moving service for Remembrance this morning and every child and every person in school observed the two minutes silence.  We watched the beautiful Cbbeebies Poppies film and also heard the last post from the Menin Gate.

Class 3 wrote Remembrance Prayers and Poems with Mr Caton and we chose 4 children to share theirs with us - I could have chosen the whole class they were all beautiful!

Dean reading his poem

Lucy reading her prayer and all of us bowing our heads.

What was so memorable was the children's words about war and suffering but more importantly they wrote about the future and that wars like the 2 major wars must never happen again and that it was their job to ensure this when they were older.

Brought tears to my eyes.

Harvest Festival 2017

The children did it again this year - brought me to tears with their singing and performances!  Mrs Kearsley and Mrs Chadwick were also in tears and all because we are so proud of the children and their efforts!

Class 1 performed a Harvest Poem and sang Cauliflowers Fluffy!

Class 2 singing with an audience who swayed to the music!

Class 2 singing Colour Orange - a catchy song with a powerful message.  Our little audience is getting closer!

Our Orange being attacked by the Mango in a Mackintosh!  Our little audience is even nearer!

Class 3 performing their 5 minute long song - We Are The World - about the world and how they are the future guardians of this.  Very moving!

Arthur and Katelyn who wrote their own prayers and Alice who recited our School Prayer

FOMS (Friends of Marston School) coffee morning for MacMillan Cancer.  £161 was raised - fabulous for such a small school!

A day to remember!
