School Awards Ceremony

In addition to our progress awards we also have other awards which are decided on by all staff (except the Children's Choice award).

The Headteacher's ACE (Attitude, Conduct and Effort) was awarded to Amy in Y5.

The Governor's Award was awarded to Leon in Y5.

The Excellent Behaviour Award AND the Children's Choice Award was awarded to Elise in Y3 - the first time this has ever happened but a worthy candidate!

Our Sports Person award was awarded to Chloe in Y6

Our Empathy and Helpfulness Award was award to Megan in Y5 - the
second time she has received it!

We also awarded seventeen children with an Outstanding Attendance Award - this means that they have 100% attendance this year.  Not bad for a school with 86 children!

Our annual musician award didn't go to one child - it went to the whole of Year 5!
Another first time!

Whole School Awards Ceremony and Y6 Leaver's Service

On the last but one day of term we held our Whole School Awards Ceremony and our Y6 Leaver's Service.  I was well attended by parents and Gordon Cannon the vice chair of governors helped me to present the awards.

Year 6 reminded us of their memories of Marston Thorold's Primary School and they were presented by a Bible from Reverend Lilian and a book token from the school.  We laughed a lot and there were no tears!

The winner of the Reception progress award was Theo.  He was ill on the day but mum brought him in just for the ceremony.

The Y1 progress award was awarded to two people - Josef and Sasha.

Arthur (Josef's brother) was awarded the Y2 progress award.

The Y3 progress award went to Isabelle and Kayley

Jacob was awarded the Y4 progress award

Serena was awarded the Y5 progress award

Ben and Georgie were awarded the Y6 progress award

Fabulous work everyone!  The next blog will detail other award winners.

Class 3 Halle Orchestra

Selected musicians from Class 3 attended a workshop with the Halle Orchestra.  It was an amazing chance to sing and play with a real orchestra!
