We celebrate everything...

inside school and out!

Matthew (Y3) has been awarded the 'Beaver of the Year' for his Beaver group and he has received a trophy for his hard work. 

 
Fabulous Matthew - we are so proud of you and you should be really proud of yourself!!!

Playtime Craze of the week

This continues to be very popular!  Wet play yesterday saw us playing 'jacks' (no photos available) and today we managed t get out and do 'spinning plates'.

Celebration Winners

We had a lot of awards to give out this week - this shows that everyone is now settled in and focus on their learning!

 
Class 2 - Kayley, Arthur and Jasper - for excellent work on their Maths in Art.  Luca for excellent work in maths - keep it up everybody!
 
 
Elise - a special mention for her!  She has been writing her own story at home - a variation on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory involving Princesses.  Elise has already had a Headteacher's sticker for this and today I gave her a special book to write in because her story is fabulous.  I can't wait for the next instalment!!!
 
 
Class 1 Special Bears - Mathilda and Brooke.  Mathilda for rising to the challenge of being in Y1 and Brooke for starting to enjoy being at school.
 
 
Raffle Ticket winners - Annie, Megan, Casper, Alex, Leon and Joshua.
 
 
Bikeability.  Year 5 children did their two day Bikeability awards last week and for the first time for several years everyone passed both level 1 and level 2 - fabulous!

Cross country competitors.  Andrew, Daniel, Conor, Veranika, Chloe,Jess, Sophie, Sophie, Leon, Harry and Thomas.  Daniel, Conor and Jess were all placed in the top 20 (out of 80+ children).

Class 3 Music

We have invested in brass instruments (trombones, trumpets, saxophones) and clarinets so we can have a class band.  A music teacher from the LEA supports our own music specialist Mrs Kearsley in this.

Officer helpers

We have office helpers who help us in opening the post, parcels, shredding, etc.  They are usually very efficient and helpful - not so just recently - here is the aftermath of their work!

 
They did come back at breaktime and hoover up the mess - a highlight of their day!  I bet they don't hoover at home!
