We had a fabulous day on Friday when we received the children's Olympic torch from Long Bennington school. Everyone dressed in sports kit - we had a marksman, several ju-jitsu, kick boxers, bobsleighers, footballers - I could go on! We held a very special assembly which was attended by Emma Sheardown, a local paralympic dressage competitor. The three sports ambassadors, James, Ella and George led the assembly and we listened to Respect and Stronger.
The morning was completed by the children working in their house teams to complete activities where they could get their legacy logs signed off. We had a seated volleyball session, a cheerleading session, a decorating olympic biscuit rings session and a session where the children made friendship sticks.
I am so proud of the children and their attitudes. Thank you to Mrs Chadwick for organising the day!
